Happy Birthday Mom!

Just a little bio on My Mom:

Born in 1942 in Puerto Rico to a family of 12. 5 girls 5 boys. Grew up with a strict father and a praying mother, joined the Army..rescued my dad and gave life to 4 children, one an angel in heaven. God sent her another angel in need and we adopted my youngest brother while over in Germany. She's traveled all over the U.S and Europe. Now she spends her days in service to the Church and her community.

My mom was not my best friend when I was a teenager. In fact, my friends called her "dragon lady". ;) But She is definitely one of my best friends now! I thank God for her everyday and I am proud to be her daughter. You have been a true inspiration to me! I consider it an honor when other's say "You're just like your mother!" :) I wouldn't have it any other way.

Thanks Mom! May you be blessed in abundance today!

Happy blessed birthday to your mom. So, Dawn, do your kids friends call you the dragon lady? ha ha ha . . . When you talk to your mom next, tell her happy birthday from me.

Hugs,
Sarah

Such a beautiful tribute to your mother. My mother and I have always been friends, but my eldest daughter and I had our troubles. We are now, (like you) best friends. I am so thankful for all of my children. Five daughters and one son. God has richly blessed my husband and I.
In reference to my last question about Catholics, I truly understand what you are saying about all Christians being on their knees. There is no other answer. But I do believe the Catholic faith is suffering the consequences of 1964 or was it '65?
