Eight is enough..Or is it?

This story, about the mom with the octuplets and the 6 kids already at home..this story has been driving me crazy. Yesterday all I heard about was how taxpayers (that's us) will have to care for these kids and ol' Nadya is gettin' a free ride.

Wait a minute.

Did you read the "stimulus" spending bill that just passed the Senate? We would have had to pay for them anyway. Although with the health care portion of that bill maybe Nadya wouldn't have been allowed to have those implants.

And the uproar over her single motherhood. Not Married! I have to say that to even hear that mentioned as a con in this whole story shocked me. I'm all for putting the horse in front of the cart, so to speak. However, to hear the media seem so surprised that there is no father, I actually found that interesting. I thought, according to our fabulous, free society, that single motherhood was to be praised, exalted and even idolized.

The reactions from the media have been quite interesting. The whole cost issue is ridiculous. I am glad that there are people out there being generous and donating on her website. That just goes to show that there are kind and caring Americans out there.

Oh and did you hear the story about the lady in Florida? She's the one gettin' a free ride.

They aren't really mentioning much that all of her children are fathered by the same sperm donor. I heard on the radio that she was implanted with 6 (left over embryos) she didn't want any of them destroyed. 2 of them split after implantation.
