President Obama took his wife to NYC for dinner and a play. Although he paid for his food and his show we paid for the transportation there and back. If you know anything about how the President travels than you know this was no cheap cab fare.
Why is it okay for this man to stand on the podium on national t.v and tell us, the "people" that we have to sacrifice and struggle for our children's future if we want the economy to get better, yet he takes this trip on our dime without batting an eye because he promised his wife?!?!?!
Last time I checked there were restaurants and plays in D.C.!!! The double standard and hypocrisy of this President in these times is shameful. I wonder if this is the change so many were looking for.

I'm so glad you posted this. I was saying the same thing yesterday. Travel expenses to taxpayers exceeded $24K! I guess sacrifice doesn't apply to him. (And since when do we even report on "date night" for the president anyway? Can't recall it for any other president.)
