Some Enchanted Evening...

Spent a wonderful evening with my hubby and his friends from work last night. It was my first spouse's social and I was a bit worried about going. I've been here for 2 years and have yet to meet anyone that he works with. The venue was beautiful, golf course country club, large veranda and a view of the course..the weather was great. Sun shining but not too hot. It made me feel good to be on his arm. He looked perfect in his choker whites. All "An Officer and a Gentleman" stuff. I told him he needed to run through the building and pick me up and carry me off :) We had a good laugh about that.

Some of the couples wanted to go out to eat afterward and we agreed to tag along. I am glad we did, I met some wonderful women at dinner. I am looking forward to seeing them again.

It was just nice to be back in a Navy atmosphere. The Army is great..but..it's difficult to be a Navy family on an Army post. It was nice to be on common ground.

GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY!

WE ARE CHEERIN' FOR THE BLUE AND GOLD BABY!! The Festivities have started here..all around post you can find the Go Army Beat Navy (and vice versa) signs. It's a big deal. There are games planned all weekend and a big one on Saturday. Even the kids get into the fun with a match up of Army and Navy ROTC teams. It's a fun time all around. UPDATE: The local Navy did beat the the local Army yesterday in the first game of the weekend. They'll be playing games all weekend. Hopefully Annapolis will keep up their winning streak on Saturday.
