The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today, July 19, 2010

Outside my window..the sun is just beginning to rise.

I am thinking...all the children are still asleep. It is so quiet. The dog is even sleeping.

I am thankful for...good friends, family and the gift of Our Most Blessed Mother.

From the learning rooms...getting ready to reorganize for a new year.

From the kitchen...I can smell the coffee. mmmmmmmmm

I am wearing...workout gear.

I am going...to get on the treadmill as soon as I post this. 10 miles a week! This is week 5! So far I have managed to make 10 or more 3 out of 4 weeks.

I am hoping...that my doc appt goes well today. It should. I've been taking my iron every day.

Here is picture thought I am sharing...

Please keep my brother (above) and his unit in your prayers. They are deployed to Afghanistan at this time. This is an older pic from another deployment a few years ago. This is his 3rd deployment.

The Simple Woman's Daybook

For Today, December 16, 2008

Outside my window..it is quiet and gray.

I am thinking...about all the baking and making I must do for Christmas, and whether or not the Direct TV guy will finally come.

I am thankful for...my son, who's already started the baking :)

From the learning rooms...book reports and reading tests.

From the kitchen...my son makes the oatmeal cookies

I am wearing...my favorite jeans and a sweater.

I am creating...ornaments for friends and family

I am going...to the post office and the grocery store this afternoon

I am reading...St. Therese of Lisieux and Divine Office for Dodo's

I am hoping...that I can get the laundry done today

I am hearing...the kids chatting and the dryer going

Here is picture thought I am sharing...Where I'd like to spend Christmas with my family:
