I got him! The mouse I mean. Over the last few weeks we noticed we had a new neighbor in our back yard. Mr. Mouse was after my birdseed and has been getting bolder and bolder. Yesterday morning as I was enjoying my coffee, said Mr. Mouse, sat on my pool box watching me. I had moved the birdseed that he had so nicely decimated and he was on the search for it. He even was so bold as to stand on the sill of my window and look in. That did it for me. I told him "I'm gonna get you you little son of a biscuit eater."
And I did. I was actually surprised to hear the click of the trap last night. I didn't think he'd be caught so easily. Sure enough, this morning the little son of a biscuit eater has gone on to the nether world with all the other little biscuit eaters. :)
Job done. Gotta love that peanut butter.

Finally Clean!
In my last post I told how Sarah Kala had inspired me to work on my filing cabinet. Well...I haven't quite gotten to that yet. However, I did manage to rearrange and reorder my "spare" room. It is now our office. I took apart the "bed" and put the extra mattress on Mr. MiddleMan's bed..he's got a softer one now. :)
Then moved all the Christmas decorations from that room to my room and finally to their resting place...my closet. Yes. It is that big. Sinful, really.
Here are some pics of the spaces: I didn't get a before of the spare room..it was too horrendous!
The office..yep..we do use that treadmill for walking/running!The Christmas Decorations "before", taking up the left side of my room.
All Clean!
The Closet/storage place. We don't have any other storage except this closet. We'll be working on the attic soon.
My next subject to tackle..the office desk and the filing cabinet, currently out of view.

my blue chip has bit the dust
The blue memory chip that is. I have to go get one tomorrow because I have to show you what my hubby has been working on all day. In fact he's out at Lowes right now because we needed a few more things.
Since I can't show you, I'll tell ya about it. He's making a rain storage system for the house. 4 55 gallon drums connected via pvc pipe with a spigot to release the water to the hose and then the garden and yard. I can't wait for rain!
I will get a memory card tomorrow and take some pics to share. Now..we just need to figure out those solar panels!

My New Granite
This is the granite we currently have: I'm not a fan.
This is the one I chose in the beginning but they got it wrong. Apparently there are 8 versions of Santa Cecilia granite. Ugh. I chose this originally because of the white background (brighter) the burgundy bursts (match the cabinets) and the honey colored patches match the back splash in the kitchen. So today, we drove the five hours (there and back) to ATL and actually wrote our address on the two slabs that will be used to redo our counter tops. I can't wait. It's going to brighten the kitchen considerably. I just wish we could have spent more time in ATL. We have family and friends there but just couldn't make it work today.

The living room..the sectional is 10' by 10'. E-N-O-R-M-O-U-S!!
The girls' room
Alower's room..he's a minimalist.
The Chosen One's room..almost clean..
the hallway...
Part of the master suite..this sofa and love seat used to take up all the room in my old home..they are dwarfed here..Mr. Pinch models my fabulous jetted tub..this is one of my favorite spots...
We finally got a king sized bed! I've never had one before.
The Master Suite..it's really obscenely large. I don't know what to do with it. Any suggestions?
